As an artist manager, you look after musicians or bands in business and strategic matters – from performance planning and contract negotiations to PR, marketing and long-term career development. You ensure that artists can concentrate on their creative work.
Employees of concert organisers
You organise live events such as concerts or tours – e.g. by booking artists, finding venues, planning the schedule or selling tickets. Depending on the area, tasks in marketing, technology or tour management are also possible.

You work at the interface between culture, politics and business – e.g. in the representation of musicians’ interests, in public relations, in funding programmes or in the organisation of industry events and networks.
